1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using Stax, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use Stax.
2. Description of service
Stax is a mobile habit and task tracking application available on iOS and Android. Stax helps you build daily routines, track habits and tasks, view progress, set completion goals, and receive reminders.
This website provides information about Stax. The app itself is the service.
3. Accounts
To use Stax, you must create an account using Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or email.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Providing accurate information
You must be at least 13 years old to use Stax.
4. Stax Pro subscriptions
Stax offers an optional paid subscription called Stax Pro that unlocks premium features.
Billing
Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). We do not process payments directly.
Auto-renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings:
- iOS:Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Stax → Cancel Subscription
- Android:Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Stax → Cancel
Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies:
- iOS: reportaproblem.apple.com
- Android: Google Play refund policy
Free use
Stax can be used without a Stax Pro subscription. The subscription is entirely optional.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Stax for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Use automated systems to access the service
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Intellectual property
Stax, including its design, code, content, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of Stax without our written permission.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
Stax is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that Stax will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.
Stax is a tool to help you track habits and tasks. We do not provide medical, psychological, or professional advice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Stax.
Our total liability for any claim related to Stax shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
9. Termination
You may stop using Stax and delete your account at any time (Me tab → Delete Account).
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination where possible.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Stax is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page. Continued use of Stax after changes constitutes acceptance.
